The Best Luxury Christmas Experiences in London with Kids for 2026
Here are my five amazing luxury Christmas experiences in London for 2026, each offering something different for families looking to make this Christmas truly unforgettable.
Hamleys Santa’s Grotto at The Langham, London
Best for: Families looking for an extravagant Father Christmas experience that goes well beyond the traditional grotto.
Location: The Langham, London, Portland Place, with the experience beginning at Hamleys on Regent Street.
Age suitability: Families with children. Check any age restrictions when booking.
The experience: Two of London’s most iconic names are joining forces for an extraordinary Christmas experience! Hamleys is bringing its famous Santa’s Grotto to The Langham, combining the magic of the world’s most famous toy shop with the luxury of one of London’s finest five-star hotels.
The adventure begins at Hamleys on Regent Street, where children will then be transported to the North Pole (otherwise known as The Langham!).

Once they’ve arrived, little ones can take part in a private elf workshop, write their Christmas wish lists and, of course, enjoy that all-important meeting with Father Christmas himself. There’s also a special gift to take home as a reminder of their magical adventure.
It’s certainly a step up from your average shopping centre grotto, and I love the idea of making the whole experience a real occasion.
My verdict: I’ve not experienced this particular grotto myself, but I absolutely love the concept. Hamleys is already synonymous with Christmas in London, and pairing it with The Langham takes things to another level. With packages costing up to £500, it’s certainly one of the more extravagant ways to meet Father Christmas, but for families wanting to really push the boat out at Christmas, this could be a very special treat.
Dates:  Saturday 12 December – Thursday 24 December 2026
Price: £275–£500, depending on the package.

Christmas Sleepovers at The Landmark London
Best for: A luxurious Christmas staycation with plenty of festive fun for children.
Location: The Landmark London, Marylebone Road, Marylebone.
Age suitability: Families with children of all ages.
The experience: The Landmark London is one of my favourite London hotels at Christmas, with its spectacular Winter Garden atrium looking even more beautiful when it’s dressed for the festive season. This year, the hotel is offering two special Christmas sleepover packages for families.
Both packages include an overnight stay, breakfast in the beautiful Winter Garden Restaurant and plenty of Christmas treats for kids.

Children can look forward to a festive gift, milk and cookies delivered as part of a special elf turndown service, Christmas films to watch in their room (with popcorn of course) and colouring activities. There’s also a festive hunt around the hotel!
The Elf Escape package includes all these festive touches, while Santa’s Sleepover adds Christmas decorations in your room. I can imagine how excited children would be to arrive and find their hotel room decorated for Christmas!
Parents aren’t forgotten either, with a festive cocktail at the hotel’s Great Central Pub included in both packages.
You could easily combine your stay with a trip to see the Christmas lights, a festive afternoon tea or one of London’s Christmas shows.
My verdict: The Landmark is a brilliant hotel for a special occasion, and I love the idea of a Christmas sleepover here. I think this would be a fantastic way to spend a weekend in London in the run-up to Christmas, especially if you’re planning to visit some of the capital’s other festive attractions.
Dates: 23 November 2026 – 4 January 2027.
Price: Prices vary according to dates and room category. Check the hotel’s website for current rates.

For Christmas 2026, the Royal Albert Hall is screening the film on its enormous screen. The Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and Crouch End Festival Chorus will perform John Williams’ famous score live.
But for something extra special, you can book one of the Hall’s private boxes. It’s a wonderful way to turn a family trip to the cinema into a luxury Christmas experience.
The Festive Cinema Box package is available for evening performances. It includes exclusive use of a Loggia or Second Tier Box, festive hospitality, drinks and a dedicated waiter.

Home Alone is Oscar’s favourite Christmas movie. I honestly think this one would be the ultimate treat for him!
My verdict: You get the atmosphere of the Royal Albert Hall, a live orchestra and the comfort of your own private box. It’s exactly the sort of experience I’d consider for a special family Christmas outing. I think it would be wonderful for older children who already know and love the film.
