My favourite aspect of blogging is meeting the other bloggers out there in the blogosphere! Blogger meet ups are a great way to make new friends, network with other bloggers and just to talk about life, loves, blogging and tweeting!
When Catherine Lux of Lux Life Blog posted an invite to a London Bloggers Brunch I was quick to reply as I was eager to meet more people who had caught the blogging bug!
The venue was The Providores and Tapa Room. Though I’d passed by it many times on my jaunts around Marylebone, I’d never actually been in.
The chilled out upstairs room was set up for us bunch o’ bloggers and being one of the first to arrive I took a seat in the middle.
The blog roll call for the day was as follows:
Sunny in London (who you may remember from such adventures as The Kensington Hotel, Bubbledogs and Afternoon Tea at La Brasserie)
Lovely Katie from Kalanchoe (who I had met at Bloggers Love)
April from Beautifaceblog and her impressive camera!
Lisa from Not Quite Enough, with whom I’ve had regular twitter / blog contact
Kirsty from CrystalSydney, who had just got engaged and hailed from Whale Beach where Mr S proposed!
The uber-fashionista Jessica from Look What I Got
Andini from Adventures of an Anglophile, originally from Australia and now studying in London
Ellie from Mantrapixie who shared my love for literature
Becky from Shutterbug Blog a fab lifestyle blogger with a love of photography
Hannah from Hannah Bee who told us some fab stories about what she’d been up to recently
Joelle from February Girl who combines writing as a fashion blogger supremo with studying for a science degree.
And of course, our hostess Catherine from Lux Life!
And here are the girls…
Brunch started with a mini porridge amuse bouche.
Clearly, they knew I was coming, a small silver spoon was perched delicately on the side.
A hearty portion of french toast was the choice for most of the girls.
I chatted away to the girls and found out more about the worlds of fashion and beauty blogging. Plus picked up some hints and tips on how to improve my own blog. My new Instagram widget is courtesy of a blogger’s advice!
It was great to meet such a diverse mixture of girls all united by a love of blogging! We all agreed to stay in touch and to hopefully have another meet up in the summer. Until then we’ll be able to catch up with each others lives via our blogs and good old twitter!
Until we tweet again!
