April was a super busy month which took me to three countries, and destinations the included cities, country, desert and right to the end of the world in Patagonia! That being said I thought I’d keep this month’s round up brief and just give you the Instagram highlights of April and tell you what’s to come to the blog in May.
The beginning of April saw a whirlwind press trip to Italy with Bottega. We started off in the Veneto region visiting the home of Prosecco with highlights being a night in a castle, meeting the owner of Bottega and a visit to the Bottega vineyard. With copious bottles glasses of Bottega in between.

From here we drive down into Venice, a city I absolutely fell in love with two years ago and was totally thrilled to see again!

A big thank you to Bottega for this incredible trip, I had an absolutely amazing time!!
April also saw an epic adventure for Mr S and I and was to see us traversing South America for two weeks taking in the highlights of Argentina and Chile. Two weeks was just not long enough but we managed to explore so much.
Including Buenos Aires staying in Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires:

We enjoyed a city tour, a tango show and some utterly fabulous food and wine.
Next stop was Mendoza, the heart of Argentina’s wine country. We stayed at Cavas Wine Lodge, a beautiful hotel with it’s own vineyard, and visited several other local vineyards and amazing restaurants.

From the lush landscapes of Mendoza, we headed to the Atacama Desert in Chile, one of the driest places on earth. This was the absolute highlight of the trip for me as we dipped into blue lagoons, saw wild flamingoes, rode horses through desert and witnessed the most incredible night sky. Our home here was luxury lodge, Awasi Atacama, one of the most sensational hotels I’ve ever visited.

From the Atacama desert we had a short but fun stay in the Chilean capital at Ritz Carlton Santigo and dined at Borago, rated one of the best restaurants in South America.
The final stop on this journey was the last but not the least as we made an epic journey to the end of the earth to stay at Awasi Patagonia just outside the Torres del Paine national park. Though we were a little unlucky with the weather, we were still able to see some of the most magnificent landscapes that I’ve seen in my life.
Coming home from this epic adventure was a bit of come down but I feel super inspired for blog posts so expect lots of hotel reviews and details of places to eat and things to do in these areas.
What’s Next? May bring new adventures on the blog. April was about Prosecco and May is about Champagne! I was fortunate enough to go on a press trip to the Champagne region back in 2016 and now I’ll be heading there again with one of my all time favourite brands. All give you a hint, it’s not actually a Champagne brand instead it’s company that I’ve grown up with and a British icon.
May is also my 4th wedding anniversary and Mr S and I will be celebrating in style with a long weekend in Naples and the Amalfi coast over the bank holiday. I’ve been dreaming of visiting this gorgeous location for so long that I really can’t wait to see it with my own eyes!!
Finally this May’s travel link up is challenges. What challenges have you foreseen, faced or overcome?
