Life Lately: February was the month London started turning floral…and the ended with snow! Still, spring is within our grasp and the shops and restaurants are celebrating with flower arches, flower walls and rose lattes springing up all over the place.
If you’re looking for Instagrammable hotspots check out my Instagram. I highly recommend heading over to Elizabeth Street, currently London’s prettiest street. It’s where you’ll find the famous Peggy Porschen.
The beautiful Moyeses Stevens…

Up in Connaught Village, Saint Aymes is the current floral hotspot not to be missed…
But this beautiful café isn’t just a pretty face as it serves artisan chocolates and golden cappuccinos! If you still have a runover from the January blues, I can guarantee finding these floral spots in London will put a smile on your face.
Restaurants: My favourite restaurant of month has to be Les 110 de Taillevent in Marylebone, a restaurant serving absolutely top notch food in a beautiful space.
My whole family fell for Jamavar, which is now my favourite Indian restaurant, and our trip to SushiSamba bought back some really fond memories for me. I would also highly recommend heading to Aqua Kyoto to try the new Ikigai menu which is inspired by the idea of living a more purposeful life.
Events: It’s been a busy month with dry January over, lots of blogging events have kicked in! I celebrated the Year of the Single Malt with a three course meal with the Balvenie at the Lanesborough Hotel.
I also had fun attending a special dinner at Outlaw’s at the Capital when Nathan Outlaw bought his Port Isaac-based Fish Kitchen concept to his London restaurant.
What I’m Reading: After adoring Small Great Things, I decided to stick with Jodi Picoult and read her previous book: Leaving Time. It took me a little longer to get into Leaving Time and it veers from the usual Jodie Picoult themes. But once I did get into it, I couldn’t put it down! The main character is 13 year-old Jenna who is on a mission to find out what happened to her mother who disappeared ten years earlier after an accident in the elephant sanctuary where she worked. I have never failed to be thoroughly moved and totally absorbed by one of Picoult’s books and Leaving Time was no exception.
What I’m Watching: I’ve always been a big fan of American high school dramas which was why I was surprised that I didn’t take to Riverdale straight away. However the second series has got me gripped and I basically want the whole of Veronica Lodge’s wardrobe! If you don’t know the series, it’s based on the old Archie comics but it is actually very dark with murders, affairs and intrigue!
What I’m Wearing:
In February the colour red became my go to and I absolutely fell in love with this dress from Reiss

I mean, eat your heart out, red dress emoji girl! I bought it in the sale and now it’s sold out but I found something similar on ASOS.
Travel: February saw two UK staycations with my blogging friends. At the beginning of February I head to The Pig on the Beach with Lauren. A big tick off the bucket list we both absolutely loved the comfy luxury style of this restaurant with rooms and our little cottage style room.
I also headed to Four Seasons Hampshire with Laura, Aftab and Binny. We all absolutely fell in love with the luxury country house hotel and loved their new restaurant concept, Wild Carrot.
I’ll be back on a plane again in March first of all heading to Amsterdam as part of a hotel collaboration…I haven’t been to Amsterdam for years so any recommendations are greatly appreciated! The following weekend it’s time. Mr S has finally convinced me to go skiing… the lure of fireside glasses of wine, cute bobble hats and pretty Instagram shots convinced me rather than the actual skiing itself. If you know me, you’ll know I’m terrified of heights… so let’s see how this goes lol!
