If you don’t already give my sister Jen a follow on Instagram at SW1 Mum to find out about stuff going on in London for families and to follow the adventures of Jackson and Charlie. It’s another birthday this month, Mr S’s! And we celebrated in style at the gorgeous Hotel Arts in Barcelona with a weekend enjoying fantastic Spanish food including dinner at the world renowned restaurant, Tickets.

All the fun things we got up to on our weekend away will be on the blog soon. I wanted to treat him to a night in London too and yesterday we headed to the latest London outpost of one my favourites for dinner at Nobu Shoreditch.

Events: This month has seen the continuation of my exciting collaboration with Aspinal of London and the quintessentially English luxury leather good company invited my to spend the day at the Goodwood Revival.

I got into the spirit of Goodwood in a Kate Spade fit and flare dress accessorised with a beautiful Mini Trunk Clutch in Navy gifted to me by Aspinal. Despite bad weather, Mr S and I had a fab time admiring the vintage costumes, watching the car races and I even had my first ever helicopter ride!
As a food and travel blogger I don’t get to participate in London Fashion Week but I was thrilled to be invited to the Aspinal of London presentation at Claridge’s. The Murder on the Orient Express theme was in collaboration with the forthcoming movie and they had gone all out in decorating the room. I even spotted several famous faces in the crowds as I enjoyed champagne high tea with Aftab and Maggie.

Restaurants: Asian food has dominated my restaurant repertoire this month, one of my favourites being the utterly impeccable Tokimeitē and the wagyu tasting menu.

I was also seriously honoured to be invited to lunch for the anniversary of Zuma London, and to meet the legendary Rainer Becker who co-owns the restaurant as well as several of my London and international favourites.

We tried StreetXO for a fusion of Asian and Spanish food and Bronte in Trafalgar Square for a casual lunch in a beautiful setting. I loved my Italian feast with a group of some of my blogger friends but Mr S and I weren’t so keen on our brunch at Jar Kitchen, though the desserts were fab!

A rather sensational chocolate mousse yesterday at @jarkitchen

Travel: For most of the month travel was kept close to home as I enjoyed great food and spa treatments at two hotels within easy reach of London.

I feel like I’m spending the night at a castle! Here at Pennyhill Park on a gorgeous girls spa beak! @exclusive_uk

Pennyhill Park was a fab press trip with some lovely blogging ladies and I caught up with my good friend Theresa at Whatley Manor.

My trip to Cambridge for a wedding saw me staying at what I think might be the UK’s most Instagrammable hotel and trying punting for the first time!

And what’s coming up? Well I have a few very exciting trips in the pipeline – watch this space to find out more about what’s happening in the SilverSpoon blogosphere!!

Blog Love:

  • Two of my favourite bloggers Polly and Nano have me dreaming of a trip to Bali with their posts. Both ladies have visited some of my favourite spots on the island and have me reliving my time there!
  • Sabrina has me dreaming of returning to Bora Bora.
  • Emma had a delicious trip to Porto.
  • Aftab and Zoe partied in Madrid!
