When one of my favourite restaurant groups opens up a new branch in one of my favourite areas of London, it’s definitely a reason to be excited. The Ivy Soho Brasserie is located on Broadwick street right in the centre of one of London’s liveliest areas.
I love the current trend for restaurant’s to have an Parisian-style outdoor terrace with heaters to fight off the winter chill and blankets to snuggle into.
Inside is a beautiful as the outside and acclaimed designers Martin Brudnizki Design Studio have created a gorgeous interior. The onyx bar is the centre piece with stylish marble flooring and casual burnt orange banquettes.
Artwork on the walls is inspired by poet William Blake, Broadwick Street’s most famous resident. As you can see the space is pretty vast and there’s actually room for 200 diners in the cafe, lounge area, bar and main restaurant.
As with my other Ivy favourites, Ivy Soho Brasserie serves an all day menu including breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, snacks and dinner. It’s one of those place that you can just pop in any time of day with anyone and you’re guaranteed to have a good time.
I was here with a group of bloggers for breakfast and after ordering some juices and mimosas we got stuck into our food. The Ivy is just somewhere you can rely on to serve classic dishes really well and around the table there was eggs royale…
Healthy live organic yogurt with seasonal berries, manuka honey, bee pollen and flax seeds.
Vibrant Eggs Benedict.
And crushed avocado on gluten free toast. On the main menu there are all the things that the Ivy is famous for; Shepherd’s Pie, the hamburger and the fish cake, as well as THAT chocolate bombe dessert!
