preferredchat-promo-image-1Do you love foodie travel? Are you always looking to try new things, exciting cuisines and amazing restaurants? This month I’ve partnered with Preferred Hotels & Resorts to co-host their bimonthly Twitter chat and the theme is ‘Taste of Travel.’ Join the chat to get inspiration for your next foodie adventure and perhaps inspire others with your culinary tales.

Here’s what you need to know:

Date: 27th of October
Time: 11am EST (4pm UK time) for one hour
Hashtag: #PreferredChat
Follow co-hosts: @PreferredHotels, @Farmhouse_Inn, @ChateauElan, @TheVanderbiltSJ, @IlSalviatino, @garyjberry, @mulia

During the chat we’ll be giving away $100 iPrefer Reward Certificate to use towards a stay in one of their hotels.

I love individual and boutique hotels and Preferred Hotels & Resorts represent a hand-picked collection of independent hotels around the world. With five different and distinctive collections and more than 600 hotels in 85 countries, the discerning traveller can create their own experience whilst enjoying high levels of customer service.

I’ve enjoyed some fantastic meals at some of the hotels in the collection. Including dinner at Il Salviatino which was actually our first dinner together as a married couple.dsc05421-1 dsc05322We loved the breakfasts at beautiful boutique hotel, The Upper Housedsc_7173And we enjoyed Asian flavours at The Fullerton Bay with a view of the light show over the Marina Bay Sands. dsc_6347 dsc_6353We also had the most incredible tasting menu at one of my all time favourite hotels, Post Ranch Innfood1-jpg1And what exactly is a Twitter Chat?

A chat is a live event on Twitter where people with similar interests ‘meet’ at a certain time to discuss a topic. Questions are asked and the chat is moderated by the hosts. In this case the hosts are hotels in the collection as well as two fellow foodie bloggers.

The chat can be filtered using the hashtag (#PreferredChat) and participants can follow the conversation, answer the questions and engage with each other. Twitter chats can get fast-paced so it can be good idea to use a platform to follow the conversation and check your notifications at the same time. Tweetdeck and Hootsuite are both popular tools, and I also have my phone on hand to check tweets while I chat on my desktop computer.

I really hope that you can join me in the chat, I’d love to see you there!
