September has easily been my busiest month this year and it’s been an absolute blast with lots of nights outs, travel, visiting hotels and working on new and exciting projects.
Life lately: A final dinner and a bittersweet goodbye to blogger extraordinaire Catherine Lux. Mina, Emma, Catherine and I gathered at Coya for one last meet up and to wish Catherine good luck as she heads off to Australia! I will of course avidly be following her Instagram to keep up with her and her new adventures.
In terms of events, I had a taste of Barcelona with the fabulous One Ocean bar pop-up event at The Westbury Hotel.
And I celebrated the 20th birthday of the Shangri La Rasa Ria in Malaysia at one of my London favourites, Sexy Fish.
In personal blog news I’m shortlisted for the best London Lifestyle Blog in the Vuelio Blog awards. The decision will be made by a panel of judges and announced at a glittering award ceremony on the 25th of November. I have all my fingers and toes crossed to win!
Restaurants: With lots of travel this month I haven’t made it to too many new restaurants by I enjoyed date nights with Mr S at Dabbous and at Peninsula Restaurant…
As well as revisiting Kouzu, an old favourite for lunch.
Travel: Starting with the adventure closest to home, I spent the day with seven other bloggers exploring the Small Luxury Hotels London collection. We had a fantastic day visiting The Arch for brunch, Dukes for a tour of London, The Ampersand for the fantastic science themed afternoon tea, the Capital for cocktails and St James Club for tapas.
At the end of the day, I stayed the night at one of my London favourites, 11 Cadogan Gardens.
It’s actually been a fantastic month of UK staycations, including a rustic-luxe weekend at Soho Farmhouse, a trip to Bel & The Dragon in Kingsclere with Laurent-Perrier, and one amazing night at Cliveden House Hotel.
Further afield, I sampled seven vineyards in one day during a very fun trip to Rioja….
As I write this I’ve literally just returned from Venice which was the most incredible trip…I simply fell in love with the city and I can’t wait to tell you all about it on the blog!
Now the countdown is on for our big trip to Kenya and Zanzibar in two weeks time! Make sure you follow my adventure on Instagram.
