Do you love luxury travel? Always on the look out for your next adventure? This month I’ve partnered with Preferred Hotels & Resorts to co-host their bimonthly Twitter chat and the theme is ‘#TrendingNow: Best in Travel for 2016.’ Join the chat to get inspiration for your next trip and perhaps inspire others with your favourite destinations.

Here’s what you need to know:

Date: 30th of June
Time: 11am EST (4pm BST) for one hour
Hashtag: #PreferredChat
Follow co-hosts: @PreferredHotels, @LuxeTiffany, @BonnieRakhit, @HotelGault, @MontageBH, @TheHotelEmma, @monument_hotel.

During the chat we’ll be giving away $100 iPrefer Reward Certificate to use towards a stay in one of their hotels.

I love individual and boutique hotels and Preferred Hotels & Resorts represent a hand-picked collection of independent hotels around the world. With five different and distinctive collections and more than 600 hotels in 85 countries, the discerning traveller can create their own experience whilst enjoying high levels of customer service.

Several of my favourite hotels appear in the collection including: DSC05421
Il Salviatino, the beautiful villa in Florence where Mr S stayed on our honeymoon. DSC07533
High up in the mountains of Big Sur in California, we visited Post Ranch Inn on our honeymoon and it’s one of my all-time favourite hotels. DSC_6371
The Fullerton Bay, the beautiful city chic hotel that we stayed in while visiting Singapore.DSC_6993
And most recently, The Upper House, an uber-cool hotel in Hong Kong.

And what exactly is a Twitter Chat?

A chat is a live event on Twitter where people with similar interests ‘meet’ at a certain time to discuss a topic. Questions are asked and the chat is moderated by the hosts.

The chat can be filtered using the hashtag (in this case #PreferredChat) and participants can follow the conversation, answer the questions and engage with each other. Twitter chats can get fast-paced so it can be good idea to use a platform to follow the conversation and check your notifications at the same time. Tweetdeck and Hootsuite are both popular tools, and I also have my phone on hand to check tweets while I chat on my desktop computer.

I really hope that you can join me in the chat, I’d love to see you there!
