Our next destination in Phuket was Thalang Beach and the gorgeous Trisara hotel. The name Trisara can be translated from Sanskrit as ‘The Third Garden in Heaven’ and it was true that this beautiful lodging was heaven on earth.
As we arrived we were welcomed to join the Sunday Brunch which was a gorgeous buffet of appetizer spoons, a fresh pasta station, fresh seafood, a meat carvery and pretty dessert table. We washed down all these delights with a fine bottle of champers as we enjoyed the tunes of a jazz band. The brunch at Trisara is deservedly a Phuket institution which is not to be missed.
The public areas of the hotel were a modern Thai style which elegantly made use of the beautiful land and the surrounding forest. Here are some photos of the hotel by day and by night.
Our room was huge! Including a large bedroom and bathroom with indoor and outdoor shower and the quite wonderfully, our own 10 metre ocean-facing infinity pool with a stylish dining area and sun deck! A jar of homemade cookies and truffles are included in the room rate and are refilled daily. These were melt in the mouth wonderful.
With such a‘heavenly’ room there really is no need to leave it and many people don’t. A slight lack of atmosphere was myonly issue with Trisara, public areas are sparsely populated as many people
stick to the seclusion of their villas. As such, the pool and restaurant areas are slightly lacking in atmosphere as they are mostly deserted during the day and not much busier in the evening. However, not a huge problem as after discovering this Mr Silver and I chose to spend our time there making the most of our fantastic room. He got to enjoy the sun on our private deck and swim in the pool; I got to enjoy the air-conditioning!!
Trisara has two restaurants, one served Thai and International food and the other is the recently opened Trisara Seafood. We experienced both with the latter being my favourite of the two. Here’s some snaps of the food.
Another unmissable experience at Trisara is the private barbecue in your villa. Our own chef andwaiter served freshly cooked meat and seafood to us in the comfort of dining terrace. The convienience meant I could wear my highest shoes and teeter back into the room after one too many glasses of wine.
Making use of the hilltop spa also added to our celestial experience as we relaxed with indulgent massages in a couple’s therapy suite. The signature treatment at the spa is the Royal Trisara Six Hand Massage where the guest has the benefit of the skilled hands of three therapists at once!
Trisara is known for being one of the most one of the most luxurious hotels in Phuket. Come here if you want beautiful views, romance, a gorgeous villa and absolute privacy. Forget about it if
you’re looking to make friends at the bar and have a wild night out! The hotel itself is in very close proximity to the airport but bear in mind its further away from the livelier areas of Phuket.
