Grand Hotel Tremezzo is quite simply the perfect place to live La Dolce Vita…
In a boutique hotel of only 90 rooms, Hotel Grand Tremezzo actually has three pools which are so spectacular, that I had to dedicate a separate post to them!
Cross the road from the hotel and you arrive at Beach…
This is where you’ll find the hotel’s Pommery bar and a classic recreation of a beach lido…should you miss the sand beneath your toes whilst on holiday.
You can sit at the bar with your fizz or grab one of the tables, order some food from the T Beach menu and take in the awesome views… But the best thing about the Beach…
Is Water on the Water – the hotel’s incredible floating pool!
Just looks at those layers of blue!
I warn you… it’s not actually fixed and really does wobble when you walk on it!
Go back into the hotel and out through the back…
Past beautiful trellis work and this eye catching water feature…
And you’ll find yourself in the hotel’s flower garden….
Which is actually a beautiful century old park surrounding the property.
Central to the garden is the utterly spectacular Flowers pool…
You can take a seat around the pool itself…
Or head upstairs for a different perspective…both have outstanding views and are more private and tranquil than the floating pool.
Adjacent to the pool is the final dining option (there are five restaurants at Hotel Grand Tremezzo and you can read about the more formal options in my previous post) and T Pizza serves absolutely exquisite thin-based pizza straight from the wood fire oven.
Don’t miss the fresh grilled meats or the amazing cocktails either!
Head around the garden and you can take a panoramic walk to the top and it’s from here that you can get some of the best view of the property and of the Lake.
I recommend decent shoes and bringing a bottle of water as the paths are steep. But the view at the end is a huge reward.
Finally I want to tell you about one of the jewels in the Tremezzo crown – the hotel’s T Spa. Located adjacent to the hotel in the 18th Villa Emilia, it is quite literally a sanctuary of zen created by ESPA.
As with everything at Grand Hotel Tremezzo, the focus is on the lake itself and guests can enjoy the Relaxing Lake Como ritual using herbs that are grown on the shores of lake for a total relaxing full body experience. Or the aromatherapy experience known as The Grand Garden Ritual using fragrant flowers from the Grand Hotel Tremezzo garden. Mr S and I enjoyed the ultimate couples experience at the hotel which involves private use of their exclusive T Spa Suite. Starting with a relaxing bespoke massage by ESPA, where we selected our massage oil to suit our needs.
The Spa Suite is basically what dreams are made of! Warm wood is a back drop to whirlpool tub, sauna and Turkish bath with contrast shower and cascade jets. There are also home made biscuits, chocolates and fresh fruits – the whole experience lasted three hours and it really was a luxury to have such fantastic time together.
Elsewhere in the spa there’s a hammam, nail salon and you can feel the heat at the Turkish bath, Mediterranean steam room and sauna with panoramic views.
Now I told you there were three pools…are you ready to see the final one…
Crossing a bridge allows you once again take in spectacular views…
Before arriving at the T Spa Infinity Pool, a heated indoor pool, with glorious views of the lake beyond. There’s actually five different types of jacuzzi in these two baths to provide different sorts of relaxing massages. For something really special the pool can be reserved out of hours for couples to enjoy along with champagne and strawberries!
It may be a small boutique hotel but there is seriously so much to do at Grand Hotel Tremezzo – another reason why I never wanted to leave!
